Overview - Nikki's been asking to go fishing, and happened to pick a cold and rainy day. She brought her dog Dixon along (Pomeranian mix) to enjoy the beautiful weather :P. The bite was slow, and it took about an hour for us to find our first bite after trying a variety of lures. We never established a solid pattern, but caught a few fish using some of my favorite fall baits. With 15 minutes left to go, I managed to catch a nice chunky 3 lber on a strike king burner spinnerbait. Bombed a long cast, the bass were cruising along the shallow grassy flat. Nikki will have to work on her casting distance if she wants to reach those bass from the bank next time :P
